[leaf-user] PPPoE and static IPs

Hi, I have a friend moving to Florida where he will connect to Sprint DSL service with static IP. At his old location he was connected to a provider with static IP via Bering 1.0rc2. Since Sprint DSL uses PPPoE, will he still need the PPPoE.lrp package even if static IPs are used? Thanks, Stephe
