Yes, this is possible with Dachstein. But you have to do some 
modifications on /etc/network.conf if you wish the wireless 
device to be controlled and configured like an ordinary interface.
Along with some modifications on the original wireless scripts 
so that the Dachstein firewall/routing will adjust automatically 
as you pop-in/out a wireless card.

The drivers/modules comes along with the open source wireless 
project you wish to use. I am using both host_ap http://hostap.epitest.fi/ 
and the orinoco modules that came along with pcmcia-cs-3.2.1
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/ on my DS box.

The cards I've tested considerably and works on my DS Box are:

LinksysWPC11 - AP and STA mode using hostap modules
Orinoco Silver - using hermes and orinoco modules (Bridging 
not supported)
ZCOMAX-XI300 - AP and STA mode using hostap modules
and some generic Prism (Intersil Firware) card - AP and STA 
mode using hostap modules.
