In the preparation of an addition to the webconf file
general-info.cgi, I wanted to have reading access to
the basic level configuration file

        /etc/shorewall/interfaces,

just to display the network name that go with each
network interface. This fails for webconf/haserl, since
the aforementioned file has 600 permissions. Now, would
it be an unacceptable security hole to redesignate this
to become 644? The cgi-script will include a testing
clause to determine if reading access is granted, and
if so, output the additional information.
