I am attempting to use an ftp server behind dach leaf. I am running
ProFTPD 1.2.2rc3.
Ok, on the leaf I set up port forwarding for port 2048 to go to
192.168.1.201 port 21.
I log on the server using passive mode '-p' from an internal machine no
problem.
I then ssh to an external machine an attempt to ftp back to my server
here is what happens:
$ pftp -p <my ip address> 2048

Upon connection I get:
220 ProFTPD 1.2.2rc3 Server (ProFTPD Default Installation)
[penny.private.network]

I then log in and get
230 User alfred logged in.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> ls
227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,201,4,19).
ftp: connect: Connection timed out
ftp>

Why is it timing out on ls command?
