Hi fellow,

I'm using Bering distro with 3 NIC install ( 3c509B TPO, DFE-530 TX, Intel
Ethernet Express PRO 100 )
what I'm trying to do is configure my NIC1 ( DFE-530 TX ) to have 4 ip
address
( I'm try to configure the box as to accept certain connection to certain ip
and port on NIC1 network,
then forward it to server on NIC2 ( 3c509B TPO ) network or NIC3 ( EE PRO
100 ) network base on ip and port request ).

I had modified /etc/network/interfaces file and add the alias for the
selected card ( NIC1 - eth0 ),
every NIC ( eth0, eth1, eth2 ) and static IP I had set are working just fine
but not an alias IP.
( I test using ping on local box to all ip I had set ).
Any ideal or clue for me to try?

Of course I do a backup after I change the configuration setting and reboot
.

Any guide or comment are really appreciate.
TQ in advance.

(i load all the basic lrp floppy packages except shorewall in syslinux.cfg,
I'll will load it's later after I settle this problem)

p/s : sorry for my bad English and I still new to *nix platform
