If you use the CD image for the latest beta it includes the proper
version of initrd_ide_cd.lrp.
Just went through a full CF install myself in the past couple of weeks.
Works great, just have to be careful of where you get your packages and
modules. The CD image is a best source of all of it.

Hi Troy,
I followed this procedure to the letter pretty much but when I attempted
to boot off of the compact flash I get to the point when it is supposed
to be loading the IDE modules and then it dies with a kernel panic. (See
details below) Can anyone please tell me what I am missing here? It
