Not by the accounts I remember he wasn't. I thought the majority view of White was, great going forward, suspect at the back - even from Oldham fans. He has vastly improved defensively recently, and seems to be getting forward as much. I put this down to the fact Pugh can sit in and cover

Rich mate, at the end of the day I think Grayson is a better football manager than you. I can see why managers like Becchio. Just as I can see why simply replacing Pugh with Sam won't just be a positive influence on the side. You seem to be one for extrapolating, so let me chuck this one in -
