Russell is the cousin of the NZ test cricketers Jeff and Martin.
The latter played cricket at Menston in the mid 80s.
Maybe Russell visited Jeff, went to Elland Road, was smitten with the silky
skills of Ormsby, Baird and Aizelwood and was thus conscripted to become

He's on nothing like £30k. I bet top wage at Norwich is less than half
that. And Becchio won't be anywhere near their top wage. He'll be on £8-10k a
week tops.

Very optimistic piece on the academy. Really encouraging, and sheds some
light on how bad things were under Colin.

Someone asked him which premiership team he supports, said he doesn't and is
waiting for leeds to rise again.
Must admit I don't follow Russell Crowe or his career. The only thing I know

It's not even true to say that a goal was prevented when the goal hit Pearce's
arm. Pearce blocked the shot with his body and the ball was going straight up
in the air when it hit his hand.
Given that it struck his arm accidentally it was not a penalty anyway.

I don't know the ins and outs but if you were arguing that the sky is green and
David F. Jones argued that it is in fact blue, I'd be on your side mate.
In terms of the letter of the law my understanding was it is illegal to touch
the ball with your arm or hand, and a free kick is awarded (or pe
“It doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not. If it is going in the back of
the net and it hits him, it’s a penalty."
The above is an actual quote from Jones about the 'Pearce handball' on Saturday
Now I accept that if it had been a Wed player who had done it I would be
screaming for a penalty
