[LU] Room 101

2014-02-24 Thread David Brennan
Been watching Room 101 recently and I thought of something I'd like to put in there - not beating the first defender from a corner. On Saturday we got a corner, we bring Smith on as quickly as we can to try and exploit the situation, and Warnock didn't even manage to loft the ball past the firs

That was exactly my thoughts - cannot remember precisely what I shouted at the TV but with the expletives taken out it was something along the lines of 'we have just brought on the big lad, why have you hit the first man - what was the point of taking a near post corner like that' ? I agree it

The problem with throw ins is more symptomatic of our poor movement. Players make going-through-the-motions runs and moves for the thrower rather than really working to get into space or open up space for the teammates through their movement (with the exception of McCormack and to an extent Stewart

Agree mate. I would just sack any player on the spot who couldn't beat the first man. We wouldn't miss Warnock. > On 24 Feb 2014, at 10:24, David Brennan wrote: > > Been watching Room 101 recently and I thought of something I'd like to put in > there - not beating the first defender from a cor

Hi Paula, been away for a week and catching up on all the emails from the list and saw your news on Steve. As with others on the list, I've never met Steve but know from his many posts on the list that two things motivate him in life, Leeds and you. There is hardly an email from him to the list whe
