Saiz didn’t do much ( Southend mate was watching that bloke who spits)
Thought ayling and Forshaw were excellent most others did nothing wrong but
Phillips is a walking yellow card and roofe is not up to it.
Despite a second half which we largely controlled and kept the ball well, we
did not make their keeper make a single proper save all game. Second half our
only real chance was agian Ayling but it was cleared on the lineIt was a pre
season friendly so don't want to read too much into it, but I
We did wake up a bit after their goal and had a few decent moves - most if not
all involving Ayling who has been superb and showed what we missed. He scored
(his 2nd pre season) when he combined well with the very impressive and
composed Forshaw getting on the end of a return ball as he drove
One change De Bock in for (injured Hernandez)soSouthend: Peacock-Farrell,
Ayling, Berardi, Forshaw, Cooper, Alioski, De Bock, Dallas, Saiz, Phillips,

So still no Blackman in nets but Tyler Roberts is on the bench
