So. having heard Colin's radio chat with Eddie and now seen his LUTV interview, I have to say I'm impressed. I thought he'd be a good option for us anyway, once Larry had been given the chop, but I think so even more now. He already seems to have lots of ideas about what he can do with the personnel we have (not that he's going to stick with all of them - he wants to ship some out and get some new ones in using the loan market), which is refreshing. If he can get them all motivated and get the defence playing even half decently - and I suspect he can - we could yet surprise ourselves this season.
It's going to be an interesting couple of months now, and all of a sudden my interest levels and general optimism - sadly, at an all time low recently - are way back up. I just wish Bates had sorted this out before the end of the transfer window so Colin could have had a little bit more of a chance.
