There will be events in Sydney and Melbourne on WED 19 JAN, organised by
ACFOA, Amnesty, National Council of Churches and the Aust Federation of
Islamic Councils to commemmorate one year since the bloodshed began in
Ambon/Maluku, Indonesia. Please be there! Bring banners,
The Malaysian government has begun an attack on opposition groups.
The UMNO / National Front government of Prime Minister Mahathir is
arresting leaders of opposition groups and is attempting to close down
opposition papers.
This attack is aimed at discouraging popular protests against
