He was a rank and file member of the Builders Labourers Federation and experienced the last major government offensive on building unions first hand. The Howard government has led attacks on several of Australia's strongest unions. The latest has been a witch hunt under the guise of a Royal Commission into the building industry. This forum asks why has the CFMEU and other unions been targetted and reveals a history of struggle behind Victoria's building unions. With first hand accounts and descriptions this forum will give activists a sense of worker's power & history as well as discussing how we can oppose the latest attacks on our unions.
