To who it may concern,

I am a 20 year old Australian student from Monash University, Melbourne,
Australia, who has been working as a volunteer for the past 9 months in Israel.

I spent five months studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and
working as a volunteer English tutor for teenaged Beduins. For the last
four months I have been volunteering as an activities co-ordinator with the
Israeli Defence Force for 60 South Lebanese Army child refugees,
temporarily located in Tzfat, Israel.

In the coming months I will be working on a secular kibbutz (Bar'am) and am
hoping to become a volunteer in the Desheihe Refugee camp in Gaza for a a
number of months.

Upon my return home to Australia I will be working with the Brotherhood of
StVicent's dePaul, for Afghanistani refugees released from the Woomera
Detention Center and studying for a transfer to the social work faculty at
Melbourne University (Social Work degrees at Melbourne University are only
available to mature age students, or students who have completed at least
one year of an Arts Degree).

I was wondering if there are any volunteer placements for a short period of
time, such as university vacation periods, in East Timor? I would be able
to fund my own expenses, and I believe I have some experience that would
help me in working to rebuild the country.

Please contact me regarding any volunteer placements or projects that may
be available in East Timor.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
