Correct, that tailstock is stock on the early models. I would have to guess
that he's using a model 800. A little history lesson if you have not heard of
this page.

Thanks for posting that, I enjoyed it over morning coffee. He did a good
job editing his video, made it flow easily. Interesting tailstock center,
appears to be threaded metal rod with a wingnut, was that stock for some
models?
