Yup, Let'r rip tatter chip! The only thing those are good for is for
collars, I took mine out as well. Since you have other routers, collars
can be used with them.

I see so you can get larger bits in i would cut them off with a dermal with a
cutting wheel or a jig saw with a metal blade id remove the plexiglass plate
first if it is removable

Without seeing what you’re talking about its very difficult to give advice but
as a rule breaking something off can lead to too much breaking and wreaking
what you’re doing cutting with like a coping saw perhaps but a picture would
help much better to give advice

Can we see what tabs you are talking about? OTHER Wise, do as Mike suggests,
perhaps moving or rotating the router might do the same things...
