Harvey,It sounds like Lisa did not get a thorough geography "lesson" about North America before she came to Milwaukee.  Even a basic one would have her aware that the USA stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific.  And looking on a globe would put a LOT into perspective for her. Even if Milwaukee

Bill, Interesting - I do not remember ever seeing the overlay comparison done before.As Harvey correctly pointed out - these kinds of "comparisons" are only valid if the scales of the two land masses are the same.  Harvey, did the exchange students never see a comparison of the USA and Europe land

Bill That is really interesting. I did the math for total square miles not counting Alaska and Hawaii It is USA 3,468,000 square miles vs 2,970,000 square miles Give or take a square mile or two. Something I always found interesting. We had 3 foreign exchange students from Europe. Besides
