Certainly looking forward to your decision and your approach to the CNC. my
suggestion then would be the Aluminum rails.
As Curt suggested, putting on the linear Bearings. It would be much easier
to adapt for that application. I believe you will find
smoother travel that way.  I have not converted any of my machines to CNC.
