Yes, I'm lifting the bed way to high and it does work better when the tilt
is lower. Curtis , thank you for the reference of that company in
Austraila, they have something called an extender that pushes the chuck out
from the headstock about 60mm, not what it was

The unit came "very well" crated and incorporated a pallet at the bottom.
If I had to guess, I'd say about 5 feet long x 3 feet wide by 4 feet high.
