ok, spoke to the Dependable Acme Thread people (again, thanks tim)...they
will get back to me in regards to them making a 5/8-4 acme thread, 16ft.
+/- in length, low carbon steel...making it is not the problem, there
equipment does not work between centers, it can thread a rod as long as

@bill...what was interesting is when i told them i was looking for a 5/8-a
acme thread, they immediately said i needed a "stub" thread...the
impression i got was that a 5/8-4 thread only came as a stub thread...it
was not available as a typical acme thread...but i will take my lead screw

will have to make a new nut as well
