Now I am totally shooting in the dark, but with the weight of this machine
would it be a reinformention for the bottom of the caster bracket?
I just assembled something the other day that had an extra plate and that
is what is was for?
Just a thought.

I’ll guess that piece is for the wheel kit that Legacy sold... the hole pattern
looks like the pattern for a caster plate and the length of the metal looks to
be the depth of a typical Legacy...

Thanks Curt. I likely won't be a while till I earnestly try and retrofit
the CNC but any information is helpful.

Good for you! that is one Nice machine. One note, if the slides will not work
for your up-grade. 16mm linear slides fit on the Legacy's rail like they were
made for it. With Linear rail... I think your CNC up-grade might be possible.
Best of luck.

Enjoy your new machine Tracy. I know that I enjoyed selling a similar
machine three times here in the UK to 3 different customers. I imported it from
Legacy after Andy and I sold it to a gentleman at a UK Show. He then came back
to me a year later and asked me to help sell it, so I bought it ba
Hi Curt
Looking at the chassis build and having sold the same 2000 some three times I
would have to disagree with you.
Cheers

Hello everyone
Hello everyone
This machine looks nice. its big, but I do not think its a 2200 to me it looks
like an 1800.The Z axis is not there. the gear train is a normal Legacy gear
set, not the beefed up x-4 gear sets. (those gear sets were made for the
2200's) all I see are normal gears, one other small
I agree that this is not a 2200. I already shared that feedback with the
seller that it is more likely to be a 2000. I only spent a few minutes
looking at it and it looked like it was missing the gear box cover, and the
right hand direction assembly was broken. Not sure if there are other
issues.
not 100% up on my Legacy history, but this probably is a model 2000, not a
model 2200 as the seller described it... doesn't seem to have the bells and
whistles that a 2200 would have... the CNC upgrade might work on this
model, but there is no Z axis, so that would have to be made or gotten...
I actually went and looked at that machine late yesterday and have been
talking to the owner. I'm seriously thinking about trying to take my
Performance CNC upgrade that is on my 1200 and see if I can make it work on
this 2000. It is missing a few things but I don't know exactly what yet.
I plan
