Hi Kenneth,
Sounds like a margin problem to me - nothing to do with column width.
Look at the page layout. When you print landscape the side (right) I
think needs to have a margin larger than the unprintable bottom
margin of your printer or you'll lose characters in the printed copy.
In haste
I finally gave up and printed it in portrait fomat and it works flawlessly.
I'm printing straight to paper. Using version 6.0.0.127. The screen preview is correct. I changed the column widths to the narrowest setting, set to =1.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi Rhodes,
It sounds as if your computer knows that Eudora is the default

One possibility is Yahoo Groups. http://groups.yahoo.com/
Another is RootsWeb http://boards.rootsweb.com/
Both have genealogy software forums.

Richard,
As Gene said, "This is a mailing list." It is a very informative and
effective one, but that is what it is. It is not a "forum" or "Bulletin
Board" per se. And, as Gene also says, to my knowledge there is not one
currently on line devoted to Legacy (to my knowledge). That does not

Thanks, once again a reminder to make backups regularly (which I did).
Still unclear as to what caused the problem.

Hi Gail,
Welcome. You can ask any Legacy related question here. If someone
knows the answer, they'll respond.
It's best to start a new topic when your question isn't related to
the previous one - as I have now done for your topic.
Just open a new email and put the Legacy User Group email addr
Hi Renee,
You'll find discussion in the archives I think.
I haven't done it but have kept an eye on the discussion as I think
about Linux too from time to time.
The general consensus seems to be that it's slow and some bits don't
work or don't work well regardless of which emulating system you
