Yeah funny you should say that coz I saw the answers to my question but not
my question. Now I have to work out what I'm doing wrong with my anti-spam.
Oh boy, my dad always said that you learn something new every day moreso
with Legacy I just hope my brain can cope with it all !!!

Thankyou R.G. Strong, Thanks for clearing that up it seems to have worked.
There are a still a few things that have gotten a little hard to figure out
even with the User Guide. I am getting there slowly but surely. All I can
really say is thank goodness for this User Group without it I would be a
IMHO the only difference is that the to do lists are
'sortable' on many levels, while notes are basically
frozen as is.

Hi Cathy,
Thanks for checking. Did you delete all the choices, or just click on
"Basic"? I had tried deleting all the choices, until I was left with
just four. Then I added REFN from the list at left. I then checked off
each one of the boxes below. Made sure I was exporting to a GEDCOM

Hi Susan,
I've just tried doing a Gedcom (5.5) choosing the Basic set on the
Customise screen - name and dates and that's what I've got.
RIN and User ID are two different numbers/codes.
If you haven't used User ID, it is irrelevant.
In the Gedcom, the RIN shows in the header line for each perso
Hi Phil,
I can't think of a way to do this particular search in Legacy. Many
searches can be done with careful thinking and use of the detailed
search. Have you studied those possibilities?
Age at death is a difficult one. Age at death needs to be calculated
differently for different people.
Phil,
I guess since no one replied to your earlier message, we've all come
to the same conclusion that you can't. I looked in the search strings,
and you can't choose Age at Death as one of the options. Please
suggest it as a Future Enhancement, that it be one of the search
criteria allowed. (Go t
Hi All
Is there a way that I can create a list from the family file of qiute
specific details?
I particularly want (at the moment) to find all those who have died
under the age of 3 years.
Is there a way of putting in a search string to do this?
What about other specific strings? Can they be

Greetings:
I just this minute received an "Update" notification form Legacy as I
was booting up my 6.0. The update downloaded and then when I went to
open my Legacy I received the following dialogue message:
"Run time error '380':
Invalid property value."
I can now boot-up my Legacy software.
Cathy,
I can do this and did it last night. But I shouldn't have to fix
these issues. Though I also understand this maybe an advanced feature.
I'll probably do some SQL queries to generate listings of the fields
so I can review them offline then do the changes.

Jim,
I've choose Legacy because of the compatibility with Access and I have several
maps and listings built directly in access.
I don't put these listings in the Legacy database, but in another database with
the Legacy tables linked. This method is very usefull and the only danger is
updating d
