Thanks Marie, that seemed to solve the problem (although I didn't have to reboot). Stan < http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp

Hi Stan, Along with the advice you've received already, there is a page of "Solutions by Error Number" on Legacy's web site - see the "Online technical support" link at the end of every list post. I've had this error message pop up a few times now. A check/repair fixes it for me each time,

I had this happen and had to run Check/Repair twice before it cleared up.  Haven't had a problem since.  BTW, I rebooted after each repair.   Marie --- On Sat, 9/20/08, Evert van Dijken <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Evert van Dijken <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Error getting ne

That's really odd. I could swear I once cleared my whole list to start over, but darned if I can find a way to do it now. Did they remove that option for v.7? You'd think there'd be tagging options on that list too for simple rechecks by RIN's or something, but nothing. - JL JLiki - crea

I assume you are referring to Legacy Charting and not the main Legacy program. Charting uses the same interface as Office 2007. The menu items you are talking about are there if you left click the round icon in the upper left of the Screen (looks like a pedigree chart). -- Don Brown Orangev

Do you mean Legacy Charting? Legacy is still on build .55 but Charting is on build .119. If so, close LegacyCharting and you'll see Legacy and the top menu again. There are no options to switch this top menu in Family View on or off. You can drag the Main toolbar to some other place on the Desktop
