Pocket Genealogist and Legacy works well on a PDA/Smartphone with 2way
syncing.

Rootsmagic 4 will run on a zip drive (not a memory stick).  The
program installs itself and copies your database and media over.  You
can run it on any Windows computer without actually installing
anything to that computer.  I sure do wish Legacy could do that.

Folks who use Reunion and MacFamilyTree on the mac side of the world
can install their live database on their iphone or ipod touch devices
and can actually edit on these devices.  Their app then syncs back to
the desktop database.  Sure wish Legacy could do that too.
