Can someone please tell me what causes the Load Picture window not to
recognize certain photos in standard formats? I use 4.0 Deluxe. When I
navigate to these photos in the Load Picture window, the preview box stays
empty. If I click "OK" anyway, the Display Picture window is empty, too,
and the Picture Gallery adds a blank photo. Slow loading is not the
problem; they are not loading at all.
A specific example. I have a folder of land deed scans on my hard
drive. My non-Legacy image viewers can display every scan just fine. But
the Load Picture window only recognizes about half of them, even after I
copy them into my Legacy Pictures folder. All of these scans are the same
format (tif), and all were originally copied from microfilm with the same
machine at the same time. All are under 1 MB in size, and file size is not
the determining factor between what Legacy loads and what it doesn't.
I've successfully added many, many pictures, but what am I missing here?
