I really appreciate hearing this! The mapping function is something I most likely wouldn't utilize at all - so then it won't be a problem for me! For some reason I was thinking it was the program itself that used IE7 (don't know where that thought came form). So, now I'm a happy camper again!

Most likely the person whose gender is greyed out is a spouse of another person, and therefore unable to switch genders. There may be a quicker way, but what I do is: Unlink the two people, change each person's gender then link them back together. Kathy I have several names in my file that an
