Debbie,
If your grand daughter wants to retrace your work 50 years from now
how will she know you used the Ancestry.com site?
The Generations Network Inc. tells me this is a company. How can
she tell it was online? at what site? The Generations Network owns
Rootsweb and I think the SSDI ind
Thank you for your thoughts, Gene. I heartily agree with all of

Good Morning Jan,
Yes, there are lots of problems with every software, every
genealogy program.
The great thing about Legacy is that there is a place to
'talk' about those problems and to be heard and helped
by others and that the programmers listen in and hear
the issues as well.

Jim, I think that the sources part of Legacy is the most difficult. I have

Dave,
I enter an Alt Birth event.

Dave,
I personally would go with the death certificate in that instance. Many

Jim,
To add a source to a name, birth, death, etc, first go to the individual
information page for that person, then place the cursor in the field to
be verified.
After placing the cursor in the field to be verified, then click on the
source icon which brings up a screen that gives you the option
I thought it odd too, but decided everyone was hit by brilliance and had no

I have the Manual for version 6.0. I also have the videos I purchased when
5.0 was
the highest standard. The videos are very helpful. The manual is helpful
too.
The videos are more hands on.
It would be helpful to know which videos have been updated and when. I
read that

Ruth,
I have the slloowest dial up on earth.
I've had no problem downloading the file and then installing from the
downloaded file; although I could time that whole event with a calendar
rather than a clock, but it worked.
How wonderful you can get High Speed!

Did you see earlier posts stating that digest mode is not an option
with the changes?
The Legacy Staff is very responsive, they've heard numbers of times
that there are people who really want digest mode. If they could, they
would provide it. They heard this preference and responded on at

Can she download the latest version when she has no internet connectivity,
Brian?
Am I missing something new and exciting here?
Thanks for your great service.
