I use Pocket Genealogist with a Dell Axim and find it incredibly convenient. Yes, you can sync the portable data back to the desktop data, but that makes me a little nervous. I like to review what I entered when researching before I actually change my database. That's why I like the "field notes

In family view, if you right click in the area where you see the 4 lines (birth, died, etc.) a customize display window will open. If there's nothing selected for 5th field name, you will only see 4 lines. Select whatever you wish to see in field 5 and it will appear after you close the custom
