I think you're right. I always do use the "Birth or Bap - Death or
Burial (two)" option so hadn't noticed this. I'll have another look
when I'm more awake tomorrow.

I found that it does not matter whether you check the
"Marriage date and place" option at all--it has no effect.
However, on the Descendant Chart front panel if you

Marriage date and place are listed after the spouse's birth date and
place before spouse's death date and place when Pack information on
one line in Descendant chart is chosen.

I have only just noticed this annoying bug:
When I use the Descendant Chart report with amongst
other things the options:
