So which, if any, of the many locations where a census image may be placed (source for individual, source for event, source detail, etc.) results in a report that displays the image in a readable size?

Hi Jake, You've attached your census image as an Individual image. If you want to leave it there, you'll need to untag them (remove the tick in the picture gallery - you get to their Picture Gallery by clicking the picture icon on their Family View panel) and then in reports etc you'll need to choose to use only preferred tagged pictures. It is more usual to attach the census image either to the Source Detail or to the Census Event. If you attach to the Census Event, it won't show on Family View, but it will print at an unreadable size in a report if you choose to include Event Pictures and don't also untag it and then choose to print only preferred tagged pictures. (you can see these tags/ticks in the Picture Gallery - change from viewing Individual pictures to the Census event picture - or All pictures in box on the right of the Picture Gallery) To remove an image attached to an individual. Go to their Picture Gallery, highlight the relevant picture and then click Remove. That just removes the link, it doesn't delete the picture from your hard drive. Hope that helps.
