I went into Control Panel Regional and
Language Options and changed the regional option
to Czech. I can now type all the Czech
characters in Notes fields in Legacy, but the
location input field and surname input field
will not accept

Thanks. It appears the only special ASCII characters available there
are those associated with a standard font. For example, I need a
lower case c with a hook over it. Not available in standard fonts.
