I exported the relationship line that caused the error message to pop up to
a new file and did not get the error. So if relationships are fine why the
pop-up that says Child record was not found?

I updated mine and received the error message, I just closed it and the
update continued on and everything is fine. I think it's just nuts.

This is easily fixed. While in Family View, click Edit, then Swap
Husband and Wife
Than she had a child in your file.
Use Edit (Menubar) and then Swap Man and Wife.

I was trying to uninstall Legacy from my old laptop. I have recently bought
