Thanks for the advice. I am surprised that people don't have a use for a built
in witness event. All of the records that I'm using for my UK relatives have
at
least two witnesses for almost every thing and if not the event such as a birth
is reported by someone.

Legacy currently doesn't have the equivalent of the TMG witness.
It's something on the wish list.
Having never had it, I don't miss it but maybe I'll find a use for it
when it is added.

then copy that Event using

Mitch, I'm using UK records is it possible to get a copy of your
source templates?
Also does anyone know how to to set up witness information in
Legacy? In TMG it's a built in event for every person that is
added. Would be nice if something like that was built into Legacy or
