Marli, just remember that Picasa2 is basically an "organizer" of all the images in folders you choose it to index. If you have a specific folder where you store all the images related to your Legacy families, it will index those (it won't move them unless you physically do that) if you choose to let it. So, somewhere along the line you must have moved the images you were using in Legacy to a new folder because Legacy can no longer find them on the old path you provided. Open Picasa2. On the left hand side, you will see a column headed LIBRARY. After "Library" and in the same name panel are four icons, click the third one. This will set the view (below) to show the folder tree structure. This is similar to Explorer. Scroll down through the folders showing and see if you can recognize the one/s for your missing Legacy images. Picasa2 gives a little help here as it does dispaly a thumbnail from one of the images in each folder.
If you can't "see" the folders, it may be because Picasa2 has not been instructed (by you) to index that folder. Go to FILE|ADD FOLDER TO PICASA and nominate every area of your hard drive where you think you have images saved. If you can't remember try using Picasa2 to conduct a search. In the little panel (with magnifying glass) up at the top right of the Picasa2 screen, type in one of the names of a file from Legacy (one that is "MIA" ;-)). It should find the location for you now that it is indexed. Lance On 1/29/07, Marli Yoder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I downloaded Picasa2 and it looks very nice to organize my pictures. Problem is that now my pictures that are already attached in Legacy are MIA. I also cannot attach new pictures. I tried changing the location of the pictures in the options list but don't know exactly where to point the path. I had over 100 pictures attached, but as I open the picture center they come up missing. What am I doing wrong? I don't want to delete Picas2, as it works very well. HELP Marli
