Has anything been changed in the Picture Center? I like the Picture Center in Version 6 in theory, but there are some frustrating things about using it.
If you attach a picture to a person using the picture icon on that persons info entry screen, text information you enter here, does not carry thru to the picture center. If you use the Picture Center from the toolbars at the top of your screen, information entered there will travel thru to the picture displayed with each individual. You can type totally different information in these two places, and attach to the exact same photo. I was not aware of this problem early in the process, so unfortunately, I used both the picture center and the individuals screens, and as a result ended up with pictures with differing text (with the same picture) depending on which place you view the picture from. It seems the photo album / scrapbook use only info from the Picture Center itself. I use Photoshop (all versions up to CS3) so have Metadata complete for all my family photos. It is frustrating that I have to retype (or copy/paste) all the info in the metadata fields in Photoshop, into Legacy's Picture Centre, to get it to read the same in both places or to get it to travel to the Scrapbook/ Photo Albums etc. It would make sense to use the standard Metadata templates in Legacy, so that picture information would just travel from Photoshop direct into the Picture Centre (NO typing needed folks!)
