You have described the limitations of trying to record family history using
geneology software.

Not currently with Legacy 6. You can do it with the addon Legacy TreeDraw.
We've been told that Wall Charts are coming with Legacy 7
(See in archives - subject was Sneak Peek of Legacy 7)
Sounds like you are really looking for multiple descendant charts.

in an ancestor chart as they are NOT your ancestors (unless a cousin marriage
is
involved and if so a regular ancestor chart will handle
