Just a minor niggle, but in fact you should have addressed your post to
Shirl, although you needn't have bothered as you will see that *mine*

You are right. There are several free PDF creation programs that are set up
like printer drivers.
I still don't get linking PDF's to Legacy if they cannot be printed in
Legacy reports. Is this just a way to find your source document
I use TIF format almost exclusively for the images I attach in Legacy
(census, scans of documents, photographs, etc.). Most of these files
are way over 200KB - in fact they are all in the 3-5 MB range. I have
never had a problem with Legacy handling, saving, or displaying these
images.

Yes, it's just like linking in images of census records, death
certificates, etc so they're more quickly

I haven't had any trouble over 200 Kb but if Sherry said so it must be true.
That's how it works. The linked files go with the database. Look out
for renaming files outside of Legacy though as it can be a pain to find
them again. Renaming inside Legacy (Picture Center) is a pain too
though
Can someone explaing to me whats a tiff format is?

Hi Shirl,
Take a look at
http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/Tips.asp
and read the section on Pictures.
It both explains the different image formats and the advantages and
disadvantages of each.
Make Google your friend. When someone mentions something you don't
know about, first do a Google
I would think graphics are on point for this list.
Many supporting documents that will support our
research and become part of reports surely must
include tiff among the formats.
