You don't say how you are adding the data. If it is in
a Gedcom-type download, at the import time, a source
'named' Mary's e-mail, and will be added automatically
to each person, in a few different flavors of input.
If you are keying by hand, just remember to add it to

You can attach a source to the Unspecified field OR you can attach a
source to every piece of data.
