Erin,
Bouncing those messages back, while tempting, probably isn't a very good
idea. Whoever originated them will then know they have a hit on valid email
addresses, plus they will have **your** email address
forward them on to the U.S. Government site. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

-0700 Nope - we got them too. Jim's going to look
a tutorial on spamming... this is a user group of your product...
let's keep that the topic and perhaps we will get back to the core purpose of

Actually, it would appear that you do, since you don't seem to
understand the dynamic involved.

Yes, but that is still Geoff's problem, though we collectively want to help
him, if possible.

Kirsten,
I did not have any either until today, but it was so easy to recognize. So I
just deleted that message and went on reading things that interest me. I
would have sent it to report spam, but at one time Legacy messages were
going to spam and I did not want to deal with that again.

Some ISPs do a pretty good job of blocking stuff like that. After
reading Ron's message, I found them. GMail did a pretty good job of
snagging them. Unfortunately, I also found quite a few other messages
from the LUG in there, too

Does anyone know of a method to send these false messages back to the actual
sender? ( the ones about watches) I hope so, it would be so good to fill
their inbox with them.

Don't do it. That would just tell them your email address is a valid one and
you will receive a lot more spam.

And if you report it as a spam, it actually hurts Geoff, the victim.
