I know this has been covered in other answers but this is what I do: If I want to pickup a source and detail entered anytime in the past, I go to that item, highlight it, and push the Clipboard symbol (those things that look like two papers on top of each other in the lower left screen.) This will

Gary, I am not sure that I am totally understanding what you are asking, but if you click on the library books and select any event and then click the detail tab then you can copy the source detail using the Windows clipboard and paste it to a new entry. If this is not what you are after
