You need to save your changes as you leave each screen where you have
done data entry - if you want to leave the screen without saving your
changes you click Close

Your data is stored in an MS Access database. It gets saved when you
click the Save button on the screen (obvious).

There are two considerations here. Legacy is based on an Access database so
when you add or amend an entry you are changing the database, and in that sense
Legacy is saving what you do on the fly. This, btw, is your file with the
extension .fdb which is usually stored in C:\Legacy\Data

Every time your course leaves a field the data just entered in that field is
automatically saved.
