Michele,
I am not particularly well up in American Geography but there is a Perry

I have watched this problem for some time and there is another sequence that

All of the locations that are IN Perry County are showing correctly on the

I think I understand where you are coming from, but I would never use photos
in that way; I use them in source Details to support, say, a death event,
where the photo might be a tombstone. That is not to say that there is
anything wrong in principle with what you are trying to do, but it's
I also do all of this, but I add one more identifying piece of
information. I pick a landmark that is probably going to be permanent,
and describe each stone's location based on that landmark. Cemetery
signs are poor landmarks, they often get moved closer to the entrance,
or closer to the road, etc
I would source this completely differently. Since you went to the cemetery
yourself to take the photos, I would source it as
Cemetery records
grave markers, plaques, tombstones, monumental inscriptions
grave markers, rural (the one I use most)
then put in the cemetery name

Please forgive me for asking a really DUMB question...
How do I source digital photos that I've taken of, for example, headstones

Ricki, I am guilty of this also, but when your maps don't come up,

If you normally start Legacy with the option to show maps OFF then to
get the map to show you have to turn the option ON then exit Legacy and
restart it. This is a known problem and a report has been entered to
have it fixed but until that happens you will have to use the restart to
get the maps to
After checking the box, you have to close the Master Location List
window and open it again to view the map.
Of course, you also have to be online.

Alan,
The .fdb databases are not compatible with v5 and v7. If you opened the
familyfile on version 7, you cannot use that file on v5. To do so, you
would need to create a gedcom from v7 then use that gedcom to import it
to v5. Bummer if you did so.

Hi Jenny
I create two "matching" events, with the event name indicating in
brackets if they are "done to" or "done by", and edit the wording so
that it is correct for each - in effect I have two separate events.
