I solved my problem with italics in the index view by changing the font.
I had selected Garamond which was not good. I switched to Sylafeen and
the italics in this font is fine.

Yes, when left in the “My Documents” you do not know which are linked to your
Legacy files.
Y’all have said that Legacy uses Bing maps and that there are some problems
with that. Is there a way to change it to Google Earth?

The short answer is no. The program was written to use Bing Maps and
would require a rewrite to use Google Earth since the protocols for
communicating with BING Maps and Google Earth are different. There was
some talk on our test list about having both built in and letting the
user choose but that
Thanks for such a quick answer, Brian! I am going to run the Geo-Code one
more time. Any problems I have with a specific location I will put in the
coordinates manually. I still can't figure out why Bing wants to put Perry
County, MS up in Tennessee. No matter! I will use the coordinates for
Bing in Legacy shows Leyte Province in the middle of a sea. I many times
have to resort to Earth Exployer to resolve problems in my Legacy mapping.

That is the problem. I only have North American and Europe loaded. I am
fixing that now. It had been so long since I downloaded these locations I had

I am using version 7.5.0.89 and just transferred my Legacy and data to my
new computer. Now when I exit, it does not prompt me to backup my data like
it did on my old computer. I checked the Help files and found what I
thought would be the solution. It says:

Hi Lana,
I don't see it either! Perhaps this is a glitch that needs to be
fixed? You can report it at the Home tab within Legacy at Report a
Bug under the Support heading.
BTW, your post was in plain text. :-)

Click on the box that says 'turn on or off optional reminder messages', then
make sure you check the box third from the top 'reminder to make a backup
when exiting Legacy'. And I'd take the time to go through all of the
reminders and see what else you might want. Virtually all of mine are
The box I referred to is under the other tab - I should have mentioned
that. It's like they must have added a step or two to the original help file
instructions. Kathy

Got it - thanks Kathy. I think you're right, another step has been
added without the Help being updated. Too early in the morning here for
me (!), clearly. (It has just gone 8:30am) ;-)
