I had a similar problem for two children in about the same time frame. We knew they were actual sisters - and the two families who adopted them were headed by brothers - but no relation to the adopted children. I've since found the parents of the two girls but before I did, I put them in my datab

Personally, I would add her with the adopted name, and her birth name as an AKA. Add her birth name in birth notes? Add an adoption event for 1901 with birth name and new name? Etc. I lean that way because you have no information on her birth parents. Should you decide to look into that furthe
