They can't. Gedcoms are text files and can't include graphics.
You can do a multimedia backup and hope that the recipient's genealogy
program will be able to link the pictures from the picture links in the
gedcom.
If you're sending the file to someone who's using Legacy, you'd want to

I have added images of many locations, churches, cemeteries in my Legacy
File.
How do I get the images to export within a gedcom when the location is part
of the data?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Pat,
Exactly what I'm doing at the moment having had an email from a second
cousin this morning.
Before running the report, go to Tools > Set Ancestor Colours and reset
one of the groups to your cousin.
And I've just taken the border off :-)
Ancestor Chart > Report Options > Page Setup Button
I want to print an ancestry chart for a cousin in color (group 1 ancestor
colors). Is there a way to change things so that the colors start from
him, if you know what I mean, rather than from me??
Also, is there any way to add a border for .pdf reports??

Has anyone created a SQL that would count the number of events in each
event category?
I know that I can look up one by one thru Master lists review, but I was
thinking of a comprehensive report just showing the events and counts per
event.
Thanks in advance for any help

I have several video files that are not in the 'standard' list of Legacy
Video file extensions:
The help file reads; Video files with an extension of .avi, mov, mpg, and
mpeg
but I have files with .flv, .asf and mp4.
How do I add those filetypes to the list of video extensions. ???
Thanks,
Ja

it's a misrepresentation of a Title, usually something on the order of
Head-Man. The way Legacy handles names is one of the reasons I chose it.

There is M F and ? for Gender. As you might guess the ? is for unknown.
Just click on the ? for the Gender when adding the child.
In the Family View of Legacy 8 the Click to Add a Child menu has the
option to add a child of unknown gender. That option will create a child
with the ? already clicked
Thank you to Jenny, Cathy & Michele for your replies.
Changing the sort order from the spouse list has solved the problem. I
looked at 2 other individuals with multiple marriages and they are all
fine.
This may be simply due to the order I entered them originally as I do
have option 2.2 ticked for
