Would it be possible for Legacy to provide a tool where these could be used
from within the program rather than LTools?

I understand that it is a good idea to backup my family file on a separate
drive. I have been able to do that. It gives the family file name, date and
time, and that it is a compressed (zipped) file.
When I look in my hard drive, I see files that have a circle at the beginning

Ok how do I use these SQL code modules with Legacy? Or are they only used
with Access? It's been 15 years since I used it routinely.

Simple place to start would be a Google shared folder. Each file in the folder
should be descriptively named and there should be one "Index" file in the
folder also that could list all the files and include a short summary of how
the routine is used and maybe a little about why it was developed
You could put all the pictures in one folder or put them in any structure of
folders and sub-folders you wish. Then run the Relinker. If the actual file
names have not changed, the Relinker should be able to find them and fix the
link to them. Once you have all media relinked, then you can ba
Ron, thanks for the informed answer. It makes a little more sense now. You are
saying I can create a folder, I am assuming in Legacy, in which to place all of
my media and Legacy will recognize and locate it at the appropriate time.

I would be willing to help start the files,

Millenia isn' t very current on things like that.

Wow, thank you Paula! I have rediscovered the Address field! I had completely
forgotten about it as I only ever used it a few times, a number of years ago,
but did not find it useful for my purposes. I did not even realise Address
could be displayed in book reports or Family Group Records. As yo

Ed,
There is one called Multiple Lines of Descent. You would have to read the
Help. I am not familiar with it, but I have seen it recommended here when
someone asked for an "everyone" report.
Are you on 7.5 or 8.0?
How many individuals are we talking about here? 1000? 100,000?

Sherry, I jumped to conclusions too quickly. Thanks for the info.

You can do this with the Fami

I know there are those on this list who will shoot down this idea quickly and
vehemently, but...
Have you thought of using the Address field?
I used to do this to indicate "probably" or add "on the farm"... that was
awhile ago, so my memory is fuzzy.
I have seen many, many threads here discussing
For the US, that sole-source would most likely be the GNIS
link I included. I've always found it more useful than the
other mapping sources...and, it gives you both pairs of
coordinates, no translating needed.

Aha! Too many variables these days; Hadn't seen just the
word (City) in parens. Yes, thanks, that's in there in my
old version.

Sherry I do understand those options, however I was wanting to have the reports
in a narrative form! Any chance of making that work?

Ed,
You can do this with the Family Group or Individual Reports. Click on the
"Record Selection" button at the bottom of the main window for those
reports to select everyone or a tagged or focus group.

I am trying to produce separate reports (as noted above) which includes
"every individual - person, parents, children, brothers, sisters, aunts,
uncles, etc. This may not be very clear, however, when I prepare these
reports, I want every person in my data base with any connection to be
listed on t
Thank you all for your responses to my posting.
I will also make a Children suggestion, piggybacking on Ron Taylor's
posting:
1In Marriage, add the total number of children in a "data box" (if
known). Legacy program to display the current number of children.
2In the Edit Children window, Legacy
