I developed my site before smart phones took over the world and it uses Flash so smart phones and tablets can't see it. I'm in the process of redoing it but until then here it is for viewing it on a "real" computer... The "Tree" pages within the site were created by Legacy and massaged by LTools.

Hello, all - Maybe someone can help me retrieve my Legacy 8.0. Something "happened" to my computer (Windows O.S. 8.1). For some reason the Desktop went blank. I restarted it and got everything back except Legacy 8.0. (I had kept my Legacy 7.5 and it was still there - as was everything else.)

Further to Jenny's suggestion - make sure you are trying to open the Legacy 8 database. It could be that you are looking at the Legacy 7 file and therefore it doesn't recognize the format. Normally it would offer to do a conversion of the file. Bob From: W. Bruce Matson [mailto:nosta...@

It appears that the profile.dbm file on your computer has been corrupted. This file is where Legacy stores your global preference settings from the options > Customize screens. Just close legacy then go to the C:/users/Bruce/Documents/Legacy Family Tree\_AppData/usr folder and delete the Profile.db
