Yes.
You need to use tagging.
You can tag everyone with a particular surname most easily from View -
Master Lists - Surname
Highlight the surname and then use Show List and then tag on an empty tag.
This may be enough if you're only wanting people with that surname and
their spouses and

One of the things that make email lists so frustrating is when people
highjack threads. Start new emails for new topics, don't just change the
subject line.
