Margaret,
You shouldn't have Birth in the Event/Fact section unless you are adding
Alternate data you have found in Alt. Birth or create an event called
Disproven Birth as you'll see in the Sample file.
Unfortunately there is no way to remove an event until it isn't used by
anyone. You need to
Thank you Jon, that will teach me to read all these messages!

I asked the same question about a month ago and learned that it a software
issue the legacy tech support is aware of but they have no fix for the
problem yet.
Wish they would fix it too.

Does Legacy no longer connect to Familysearch to share the info back and forth?

Are you creating a birth event instead of using the default birth date/place

No, there is nothing in the birth field. In "Event/Fact" it has "birth" -
but nothing else - no date or place etc. I just experimented with a person
who does not have this issue and added an Event/Fact of birth. Now it

I tried to duplicate this without success. My Descendant Book report

I try to add an approximate date: Cir 1840 or Est. 1912, etc.
If you know about these children then you must have some reference like oral
history, a Bible entry, a census, a letter - whatever led you to believe they

I have a number of children who died young or that I do not have a birth
date for. When I run a Descendant Book report, they all come out saying the
child's name and then "He was born Birth".
How can I remove this from all these people without having to go in and
delete it one by one?
Thank you.
